In short, we like Murad's Retinol Youth Renewal Serum. It is a well formulated moisturizing retinol serum for normal to dry skin. It includes retinol and an interesting derivative of retinol called hydroxypinacolone retinoate.
There's no question retinol is a brilliant ingredient for skin. The research lauding its benefits is extensive. This serum also includes a range of skin-replenishing ingredients along with moisturizing emollients and silicones.
We further applaud Murad for using airtight packaging which is critically important to keep retinol stable as it's a finicky ingredient that absolutely doesn't like air exposure.
The only downsides to this formula is that for the price it could have been a bit more robust with antioxidants and additional skin-restoring ingredients over and above the retinol.
